Xbox Live Gold

Hi

I just bought an Xbox and i want to accept the offer from my Xbox Home page:

"Special Offer 2 months for $2"

I then select 'Go Gold Now"

My payment details seem correct

But when i slsect "Confirm Purchase"

I get the following error 

Xbox LIVE Marketplace

"Sorry, there's an issue with your account.
To fix the problem, visit
https://account.live.com or choose a
different payment method."

I only made my Live profile about 2 days ago,
Whats the deal tho i seem unable to join Xbox live

Hey just to update i used the call back service today and the person on the phone got my account running in 5 minutes. He gave me a temporary 1 month passcode and after i redeemed that successfully he upgraded the membership to the 2$ for 2months. Not sure what the original issue was but possibly some server problem atm but now im up and running with 2 month subscription :) Xbox rules

Hey there Team! Just to clarify, you have tried purchasing multiple subs and get the same issue both times, correct? If you haven't already, can you try a different payment method to see if that helps? Let us know, thanks!

I checked xbox.com and microsoft billing, both seem correct

When i setup xboxlive i remember verifying my live account in some way to xboxlive then

Although how can i re verify that and my alternate live email to xboxlive?

Just FYI I also tried to sign up for the standard 12 months membership from my web browser

And had same issue so i dont think its related to my xbox or xbox caches etc

Seems a little bit strange that a live alternate email could be behind this issue

If doesn't work by tomorrow ill call the support number

I think they are closed atm so ill let you know what happens then

I experianced this Issue a Long time ago and contacted support they resolved it straight away. i think it is best for you to give xbox support a call

Alright i have a few solutions to try out. Firstly go to xbox.com, sign into your account. In the top right corner where you see your gamertag, click "my account" Then scroll down to where it says "update billing contact information" Also check your Windows Live ID email, and your alternate email for a verification link. Make sure your windows live ID is verified. Lastly, log into billing.microsoft.com and log into your account (Same windows live ID and password) and see if your card shows up on that page. When you try and purchase the account on the console, it would give you an error code like 80190864.
