Xbox Live Gold

So I bought xbox live gold membership over my xbox and I got a receipt in my inbox on my gmail account but on my xbox account it says that Im a silver member and every time I try to connect to my account it says the service is down.

From what I know, there was a service alert for renewing gold memberships and the service. If you are still having trouble then contact support. Hope this helps!

Have you tried Testing your Xbox Live Connection? Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
  2. Select SettingsSystem Settings, and then Network Settings.
  3. Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.
  4. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
If you purchased your membership on the website, there is a delay in the time before it refreshes and shows active on the console. An easy way to fix this is to test your Xbox LIVE connection on your console. This is like a refresh for the console and should have your membership up and running once you complete the process! Hope this helps!
