XBOX Live Gold wrong account

I purchased a XBOX Live Gold membership for my son but unfortunately I purchased it under my account and not with his account. So now how do I go about moving the membership from my account to his account.

I am afraid transferring membership from one account to another is not possible. You can have your son download your account on to his own Xbox Console to use the gold features if you wish, or if you are only using the one console you can allow him to use your account. Other than that, as previously said, transferring membership to a different account is not possible.

If you just purchased it, you can call support to see if they can cancel the subscription and give you a token to redeem the remaining time on the correct account. As long as it's a 3 or 12 month subscription, they do have a 30 day cancellation period.
