Xbox LIVE Gold Renewal Question?

Hello fellow gamers. Major Luck777 here and I have a question about my LIVE Gold renewal. Ok so apparently Microsoft was having problems taking my auto-renewal fee for Gold out of my mom's credit card because she had no money on at the time. So like normal MS I believe took the money out anyway and put my mom overdrawn at the bank. No worries because now she has a positive balance. After this it said my Gold renews in June because MS took out the money. I said okay and moved on. Then, today my mom said I could get more membership off her new debit card. I proceeded to do so and the normal renewal feature on my console wasn't working. So, I decided to the the alternate renewal option on my console. (Forgot what the alt. renewal option is called.) I chose my payment option and then renewed my membership. So I went to "Manage Account" again and it said member since 5/2011? I've been an XBL member for 2 years. (Hence the 2 next to my GT on LIVE.) Since I apparently canceled my old membership and just got a new one (or renewed the old one, possibly) will this reset my consecutive two years on LIVE? (The two next to my GT.) I hope not because I look forward to my account changing the number each year. Any help or suggestions on what this might be? Or if it messed up my two consecutive years? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

if you are suspended for payment info then you must pay off the balance

when a transaction does not go thru ms doesn't receive any payment

if it is a banking account you will receive a insufficent funds fee

thats to do  with your bank not ms

Well I'm just concerned about my consecutive years as an Xbox LIVE Gold member. I already have everything else but this settled. Because when I renewed my membership, it canceled my old membership that wasn't being paid for at the time. (Hence, why I renewed my membership in the first place.) So it canceled my old membership and created a new Gold membership to take it's place. Since it canceled my old one, will this stop my consecutive year(s) as an Xbox LIVE Gold Member?

The tenure doesn't reset. Even if you revert to a silver member it won't reset.
