xbox live gold membership - wrong account :(

Hi!  I'm new to xbox and afraid that I applied the xbox live gold membership pre-paid card to the wrong account...I applied it to my son's account, yet he's too young to play online.  Is there a way to change that or do I have to buy a new card?   I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks.  :)

You can your going have to call xbox live support  and they'll moved it to the account you wanted too.

well 2 things

1st its a prepaid card therefore cannot be transfered

2nd nothing can be transfered between accounts not subscription time or gamerscore or dlc

if it was a creditcard purchase they could issue cancel your account and remove the creditcard and issue you a prepaid code which then you can apply it to the other account

they cannot generate a code because they have to have something to remove like a creditcard

Ignore everything you've heard. I used a Prepaid card and did exactly the same thing. I called XBOX support and they simply cancelled Gold on the wrong account and sent me some new codes. Surprisingly quickly as well! So don't worry, just give them a call.
