Xbox live gold isn't working right

Ok so I've been a gold member since forever and i always pay my bill on time but yesterday i login to my xbox 360 and the big box in the middle tells me to join xbox live gold...idk whats going on...

Your on the silver membership. Have you gotten any error codes, when and if you've tried to upgrade to Gold? Also check your billing, to see if you have been billed.

I'm having the same issue and have done for a week now. Xbox support have told me its a known issue and referred my case to an advocacy team to fix in 5 days... Hope it works.

I have same issue, just purchased gold membership for a year 2 days ago for my son.

Absolutely fuming. Does anyone know where to call in the UK?

Xboxsupport twitter team have just fixed mine. Now showing as gold again. Woooo!!

well what i did was go on live.xbox.com or w.e and do a free trial of gold and i think i redownloaded my profile and it worked im on gold all though on my xbox it doesn't show the right gamerscore...and how could i have been silver ive been gold since forever

ok i just got an achivement in red dead and it bumped my gamerscore right up to where it should plus the 10 additional points for the achievement i got

When ever i try to sign it, it tells me to update which i have done multiple times it then tells me i can't connect to xbox live gold so i tried a free code and it says i can't use it because i'm already connected to xbox live gold so what the hell do i do?

Guys this is a know issue, i suggest you talk with the support teams. Going via twitter to XboxSupport got it sorted for me. Seems the link between billing and live accounts is broken for some people.
