Xbox Live for Xbox One in South Africa

I Recently bought the Xbox One in the UK, and I used to have an Xbox Live Gold account there, with my 360 and with my One. The membership expired and I now want to play online in South Africa (I moved). Could I still purchase a 12 month Xbox Live Gold account from the UK store and then play online in South Africa ie. pretend I still live in the UK. Will it work? Thanks

Hey KnavishStream4,

South Africa is a supported region for Xbox live for Xbox One.  You will need to select the correct region you are physically located in. Keeping it in the incorrect region will result in issues with your account and purchasing items in live.

Hope this helps in your decision.

When I go to purchase the Xbox Live on the South African section, they don't mention the Xbox One, they instead describe only for the 360? Surely this means that it doesn't support Xbox One in South Africa.
