xbox live disconnections

since the problems that happened a few days ago i have been getting kicked from live every 5 or so minutes, first i thought it was something with my games but no matter what i am getting kicked, if somebody could give me any ideas about what to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I am not having this Problem, so it must be your internet or you Xbox Live connections try doing a Connection Test to see if its a problem With your Xbox 360 / Network / Internet / Xbox Live.

Hi!

Could you try the steps in this 'Issues with connection speed or disconnects' page? Follow all of the steps there, please, and let us know if that helps you to get rid of those pesky disconnection issues.

nice to meet you Gaming, i have done at least 10 tests and today i got a new Ethernet cord and it still keeps happening

What xbox do you have, White or Slim? are you using a wired or wireless connection to your router?

well i just went to the page tetrasides pointed me to, i have tried all the thing on there and i am still getting disconnected within 5 minutes.

I am having exactly the same problem.  I am plugged in directly with ethernet so no router issues.

Test connection works fine - everything is great and then XBOX live drops every 5 mins or so. So frustrating.

Do you get any error code after you've been disconnected from LIVE? Can you sign back in immediately after you've been disconnected?

Majueiza, are you wired directly into your modem, or router? If you could please provide the make and model of your router.

Also, DrTootr, so that we may better assist you, I would recommend you make your own thread describing your issue, and also providing the information I just asked Majueiza for.
