Xbox live connection/membership/Account

Okay,

I recently activated 1 month free gold membership to expire (5/8/12) however, knowing of the deadline I purchased 1 year gold membership a couple days prior. 

Now the problem is I cant access Gears of war 3 or fifa 11/12 due to an error stating Party type moreover, I tried to download a profile which seemed to make sense as my free trial profile was being used, but it still didnt work. This time the error message was information invalid, granted I did change my User name that day from a default one to GOLD TITAN 2012.

This is annoying since I paid for 1 years membership and its not working. What can I do?

It states my party type is wrong on gears of war 3 and when i click the other options it states my profile is incapable of those choices. . Also, I cant download my new profile due to the error "Information invalid" when logging in.

Hey GOLD TITAN 2012! Are you positive you're entering the correct information on your console? It seems like you're able to sign in on Xbox.com with the same Gamertag, correct? Are you able to try downloading your profile on an alternate console to see if you can log in there?
 

In addition, is this the Gamertag you're receiving the "party type" error on? Can you tell us the exact error you receive? Word for word? Standing by for details. :)

It works now. I found a forum where someone had the same problem. Thank you for all the support and messages.

You can always check the status you your subscription on the console by

signing in

click on si;ver GUIDE button in middle of game controller

go two clicks to the right to Settings and choose Account Management

in Account Management, go one click right and your status will appear there.
