Xbox live connection problem

I have a Xbox 360 slim and I got a gold membership awhile back(almost 2 months) and recently I have not been staying conected to xbl. I have tried wireless and wired and both do not work, but when I am not using chat or in a party it works fine. It is not the Internet because I have been using fine on computers, laptops, ipad2, iPod 4 without problems. This has not happened before, the first two. Months nothing went wrong always stayed connected to the Internet and xbl, I am thinking that it is the Xbox. Any ideas?

Try performing a speed test and a ping test then when the results are complete click 1 of the 2 buttons at the bottom of the page that should say forum link or direct link simply paste them on the text box so they will show up.

also if you have a UPnP port it may need to be disabled

http://www.pingtest.net/

http://speedtest.net/

and as aster said its also worth reading the NAT issue link
