Xbox Live - back to in home play only

We looked into Xbox Live on our 360 but do not want to subscribe to it at this time. We want to go back to playing MineCraft at home only. However, when we try to load the game after choosing profile or whatever we choose the screen states "Sorry, this console can't play until your subscription payments are up top date." We have never had a subscription nor do we want one. How de we get back to being able to play "at home" only?

Thanks,

Marc

That message usually only comes up on a console that was purchased as part of the Entertainment for All plan. That would have been a deal where the consoles was $99, but you had to sign up for a 2 year contract and pay $14.99 per month for Live.

If you purchased the console brand new and did not purchase it as part of that deal, you would need to contact support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or support.xbox.com/contact-us

If you purchased the console used, then the issue would be that the previous owner has not paid the subscription. You could try contacting support, but they may not be able to do anything. You may have to take it back to where it was purchased.
