Xbox Live Adapter keeps switching off and on or loses connection randomly

Hey, the past few days I've been completely unable to use Xbox Live because the adapter keeps switching off and on or sometimes just losing connection.

The light can be green then suddenly just go out or suddenly just go red and then once I connect it up again and try playing a game, the light will go red or out.

To clear things up, I have already tried using a new adapter and the same thing happens.

Hi, try experimenting with a different wireless channel on the Homehub to see what works best for you, choose one that your neighbours are not using you can download a program like inSSIDer to find out what networks and channels are in use in your area.

Nope, nothing.

This only started happening around 2-3 days ago as well. Prior to that I wasn't being disconnected at all.

Hey there Player! I understand you are having some issues staying connected to the Wireless network in your home. Just to help us narrow down the issue, can you try connecting to a wired connection, just to see if it works?

One thing I missed in your initial post was the type of wireless adapter you were using. Is it the external white or black one? You mentioned trying another one; was it the same type or the other? Do these adapters work fine on other consoles? Let us know, thanks!

It is possible to go wired (as a test) to see if its a wireless problem?

Both ones tested were white ones.

Its not possible to wire it up as the router is too far away and no TV is near it.

No other internet connection is being effected but the 360 itself. All the computers are running fine but almost at random the adapter will disconnect me from live, the light will either go red or just off completely and it will reload moments later.

The same thing happens with both adapters and each were working fine around 3 days ago.

Thanks for the response Player! Are you able to test these adapters on other consoles to see if they exhibit the same behavior? While unlikely, you could just have two bad network adapters.

Also, if at any time you are able to test a wired connection, it would help us narrow down the issue for you. Let us know, thanks!

Hmm without going wired you will struggle to nail this one I think, as Mister Gwyther says you could also try your adapters at a friends or a friends adapter on your Xbox

I'll see about getting another 360 hooked up to this router tomorrow and post the results then.

The adapter DEFINATELY isn't the problem though. I tried two that were in perfect working condition, its just for some reason a few days ago it suddenly stopped working and kept deciding to disconnect me.
