XBox Live Accounts Temporarily Restricted from Receiving Credits

Miss Portia -

My kids accounts - (1) DO2176 and (2) SnD Destroyers both note that they are temporarily restricted from receiving credits when they log in.  We have had connectivity issues over the last 2 months and they have not been online.  Are you able to help/remove the restriction?

Thx

My immediate assumption was you are referring to Microsoft Points (MSP) that you can grant with the Family Plan. Is this the case? As for checking these, you can log in to https://billing.microsoft.com with the accounts (the children accounts as well as the parent account) to see when points are purchased, transferred, and spent. Does this help you out?

If you are refering to Halo credits then you would need to talk to 343/Bungie as MS does not handle game specific suspensions/bans.

I am referring to credits that one gets from playing a game on-line (LIVE).  When we load a game (Halo or Call of Duty as an example) we get a message that states "This Xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned from earning credits".  My kids can play, however they don't progress in the the earnings of the credits/points.

In which case you'd need to have words with 343 about the Halo credit ban and Treyarch if they've been banned from doing certain things in Black Ops.

I'm confused. The only online credits you earn while playing every single Xbox 360 game is called achievements. Then there are certain games that give you credits to use in game such as Halo and Call of Duty. Which ones are you referring to here?

For Halo you'd need to have words with 343 studios since they handle Halo these days. For Call of Duty make sure your son hasn't just hit the level cap (70 for MW2, 50 for Black Ops) and if he hasn't then have words with Infinity Ward (MW2) or Treyarch (Black Ops.

This would be the correct course of action. Good Luck.
