XBOX lens problem

hae guys and girls,

I have a problem with my XBOX disc tray. Every now and then it will read/play the game that i insert but i want it to do it all the time. 

I don't have cleaning disc thing and i cant afford to get a new lens.

This is very frustrating,

WHAT DO I DO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, you can try the disc troubleshooter.

 

If that doesn't work and you're in warranty, send it in for service.

sorry but that didn't work and it is out of its warranty period.

Then you are probably looking at replacing your console or submitting it as an out of warranty repair.  I would seriously consider the out of warranty repair option over picking up a used console.

how much will it be for a out of warranty repair????

I believe the cost is around $110 but you would need to contact support to be sure.  You may be better off just getting a new console.

I believe it depends on the region.  Start the online repair process at http://support.xbox.com and before you commit you will be told the price.  At that point you can either continue on or cancel out.  But at least you'll know your price option of going that route.

Correct - the online repair form will give you the correct, discounted cost (versus calling Phone Support to set up the repair.) The direct link to that repair form is here: support.xbox.com/.../repair-process
