Xbox gold 3 month not working

I got off with customer support a little while ago and the lady (Marleen, you were very helpful) But she took these 2 credit cards I was taking off of my account, but I had purchased 3 months of xbox live beforehand, and after she removed the credit cards It now has me as a silver account so it's like I never bought the gold. What could be the issue?

Did you contact them initially to remove the payment options?

And before they remove the card, was your subscription active?

If you requested to remove the card and you were already charged for the 3 months subscription within 30 days or so. It is possible that they have refunded you the 3 month charge.

It is possible that they have refunded you the 3 month charge. Because they cannot remove payment options if there is an active subscription. And the only way is to cancel Gold and refund.
