Xbox Freezing on Certain Menus.

I've had my Xbox Slim since christmas and yesterday evening I have started to have problems with it.

I started up L.A. Noire and I bought up the guide menu to see who was online. I navigated to the friends list and when I had finished looking, I pressed the guide button to go back into the game but my Xbox froze on the friends list. I wait a good 5 minutes before manually turning the Xbox off and back on. 

An hour through playing L.A. Noire, I received a messaged from a friend. I opened this message and and read the contents but as I pressed the guide button to go back into the game, it froze again.

This seems to be a recurring issue that has stopped me from communing with anyone on my Xbox as well making me restart my Xbox a lot over the past two days.

What course of action should I take to fix this?

Any suggestions welcome. If you require more details, then I shall do my best to fill them in.

Thank you for a fast response.

Unfortunately this doesn't solve the issue that I am having. I went through my memory device and deleted corrupted files and cleared the cache but neither of them fixed this. :(

You could try clearing your consoles cache and see if that helps.

Go to memory> highlight the HDD> press Y> Yes.

This will clear all updates from your console so you will need to re download them the first time you play a title after clearing.

If this has not helped then hopefully other users will have more helpful suggestions for you to try.
