Xbox Family gold live packaged - has it caused my problem

My mum bought the family gold packaged and managed to get herself my brother and sister into fine ...but had problems getting mine - so two calls to xbox live support people and they passed our problem onto the Tech Team ...now since the Tech Team have been looking into the problem i have got a console ban and no idea why - could of the tech teams poking about caused this ban ?
