Xbox facebook app has been dead for months?

Is it just me or has the xbox integration at xboxapp (https://apps.facebook.com/xboxapp/) been broken for months?

Whenever I go there it just says "Retrieving friends..." and it never comes back. Also, if I click on the settings link it says "Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.  It appears you've found a glitch in the system."  I've tried in multiple browsers, multiple OS's and even directly from the xbox.  Nothing seems to work.  Is the site dead and just not taken down?

And to add insult to injury, the forum search doesn't want to work either: "The search service is currently unavailable. Please try again later."  Is the entire xbox.com site broken?  (Again, different browsers, different computers, Windows and OSX...)

There is no facebook app anymore.

With the IE Web Browser app available since last fall, facebook can be accessed fully via the browser instead of using a limited app.

Ever since Xbox added Internet Explorer to the console, Facebook and Twitter apps don't work anymore.  They were removed from the system entirely.  The basic answer being that they'd like you to use IE for those instead of a dedicated app now.

Yes, internet explorer has replaced the two apps (Facebook and Twitter) however, the quality how Facebook apepars on the IE app leaves alot to be desired. Could you also possibly close this thread for us? The forum post from TopherXPwns has a good answer for you :)

It's up to Facebook and Twitter to develop new versions of their apps, just like any other app or game developer. The trade press has covered this issue before.

So how can we share our XBOX Live activity on Facebook? I mean, when we get an achievement or something, an automatic post would appear on Facebook.

Hey all! Topher is indeed correct- you'll now want to use the IE app for them.  But I can totally understand having the preference for one or the other- and we always want to hear what our customers are looking for when it comes to LIVE.  If you'd like, you can totally leave feedback, suggestions, comments, whatevs over in our feedback forums thissaway: forums.xbox.com/.../133.aspxlist

Hey again Moody!  I'm afraid that feature isn't available currently. That link I sent will be the best place to request it though! Also, if you ever want to search for your own posts, you can use the "my discussions" button on any Forums page to sort Forums by just ones you've been in.  Like this, for example: forums.xbox.com/.../9.aspx Hope this helps!  Please let me know if there's anything else we can take a look at for you. :)

Sorry, I thought I had updated this a while ago.  Apparently not. :)  To clarify, I know the facebook app inside the xbox interface is dead and replaced with IE.  What I mean is the actual Microsoft app on Facebook.com.  apps.facebook.com/xboxapp

I know, too many of the same words in a different order.
