Xbox Elite Freezes when online!

As the title reads I have this....complication. its like this :
Whenever im Off Xbox live(the internet cable is Disconnected) the console works like a charm.
When im ON Xbox live(the internet cable is Connected) it works normally for about 3 minutes, then it freezes at any point, and I DO mean ANY POINT. At the title screen of a game? FREEZE! At the Dashboard looking at some new things?FREEZE! In a transition between the dashboard and another screen? FREEZE! Any point whatsoever.
To narrow possibilities down, as i know that a freezing xbox could mean a variety of things, I made a little list:
--Things I know for a FACT that are not the cause of my nightmares:

▲It is most definatly NOT overheating! I checked, I even opened my xbox(whatever the warranty is off anyway).
▲It is not freezing normally. ONLY WHEN ONLINE.As I said, at any point as long as the cable is connected.
▲Cleaning my chache has done absolutely nothing.
▲Neither did deleting my profile and downloading it again, I was lucky the first time I did it I was able to get my profile back at all, as it kept freezing on me.
▲Please do not point me to that annoying microsoft troubleshooting, i've been there and i've done that, and got nothing.
▲The FREEZE is inconditional, the controler doesnt work, the screen is still, and the only way of getting away from it is turning the console OFF

This is the part where I ask for your help, PLEASE I AM DESPERATE, i might never play online again.
also, this has been going on for weeks now, as i have been playing offline.

I'll take anything. please help, an idea, a suggestion whatever, just post here to bump the thread if thats all you can do.
thank you in advance.

hi have you tried to remove the hard drive to see if it will work?

and to have you tried this:

Reset XBOX 360 Failed System Updates

With the console off, press and hold the sync up button.

While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console

Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.

During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Reset XBOX 360 All Installed Game Updates

   Go to the "system" blade

   Select "memory"

Press Y on the HD symbol

Press X,X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X

A message will appear saying: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"

   Select Yes

also have you tried to connect it by wireless?

hope that helps:)

sadly no.

maybe I did the 'Reset Failed system updates' thing wrong. I pressed the sync button on the console. is that right? waited until the console booted up to the main screen. nothing happened no warning no nothin'. dont know if it worked.

as for the "Reset the Xbox 360 All installed game updates" I just didnt work for me. i went to the system then memory, when i went to my HDD(and to my flash drive i use plugged in the USB) and did that code NOTHING happened. weird.

Maybe I did all wrong? i did like a million times each. gonna try again. Also, can  you tell me why did you think that would work? was it just a guess? appreciate the help. i really do. havent felt hope in so long.

Hi, so everything points to an issue with your internet connection.

-

First thing I would try is removing the mains power from your modem/router for 5 minutes, power back up and try again.

-

Secondly, try restoring the network settings on the console, go to settings, system, network settings, select the wired or wireless connection, configure network, additional settings, restore to factory defaults, power the console off and back on and yes you guessed it...try again.

I would also take a look through your storage device for anything that shows as corrupted or has a yellow ! on it. Try clearing the system cache three times, power the console off and back on and then give things a try

Try changing the batteries in the controller. This solved the problem for me.  Or perhaps this is too easy an answer.

If you have a wireless headset/Bluetooth device too close to your Xbox it may cause you to lose network connection, I'm not sure if you have the same setup going on but it's something to take into consideration.

Eggsboxjuan, theres actually a lot of things its telling me to delete, mostly DLC. i'll delete it and then try to connect.

Bicoloredframe18, I'll try changing the batteries, what if it DOES fix it? i'll feel like an idiot forever!

God14513 my router is just by the left of my console, is that a problem?

Also, sorry i've  been gone for the last 2 days, havent really been able to just sit o my PC. But i've been reading up on other forums besides this one and, they've been saying it could be something with the model of my router... is that possible? could it cause a bug like this? Its just that now that i think about it, the freezing issue started as soon as I changed routers........
