Xbox disconnecting every 5-10 minutes!

Ok as of yesterday around 8.00 P.M my Xbox 360 S was disconnecting every 5-10 minutes, I reset my modem and router but it was still happening, this connection is wireless by the way. I waited for a friend to arrive to test his profile on my other Xbox 360 (wired) nothing happened. He tested his profile on my Xbox and he was booted of after 5 minutes. I then tried to reset the network settings on my Xbox 360 S and it was working fine again but then the other Xbox is now logging anyone off every 5-10 minutes! Every time I reset the modem I can get it to swap between the Xbox consoles.

I have never had this problem in over 14 months until now, why is this happening all of a sudden and is anyone having this problem right now?

Summary: -

- Xbox 360 (1) disconnecting every 5 minutes

- Xbox 360 (2) stays connected

- Reset modem  /network settings

- Xbox 360 (1) stays connected

- Xbox 360 (2) disconnecting every 5 minutes

(and so on)

Any help right now would hopefully get rid of some of this stress, thanks.

Ok, it sound like you have done some trouble shooting already, so I would go here to do as much trouble shooting as you can if you haven't first solutions.xbox.com/.../cctlwelcome.aspx then do as it tells you if the issue is still not resolved after you perform all of those steps/

I have ran through so much stuff, I've used all the trouble shooting from Microsoft but no luck. I mean how can a problem switch between 2 Xbox 360 consoles? I mean when I test the connection of both consoles they are 100% fine, no issues with both open NAT's. They will both stay connected for 5ish minutes then the one will disconnect and to reconnect I will have to 'test the connection' then it will work for another 5 minutes.

Have you contacted your ISP to check your ports and everything? (Internet Service Provider)

Internet wise (phone and laptop) not a problem, a solid 20mb download and 3mb upload all day everyday. My ISP are not reporting any problems but I am reading up and down this forum of people disconnecting from Xbox live after a certain amount of time, anywhere between 5-20 minutes. Is this an Xbox live problem since the update? Like I said in 14 months with 2 Xbox consoles and 4 years of Xbox itself I have never had this problem before.

Yes, this is a known issue.  However, there are some trouble shooting steps that you can take as well to help resolve the issue.   You can try chatting with an Ambassador live right now by clicking on my signature, or contacting an agent by dialing 1-800-4MY-XBOX

OK if someone else is having this problem then I guess it's a waiting game? Wait for an update from Microsoft. I have spoke to an ambassador yesterday but he could not help.

Well join the club, I'm so darn frustrated with this issue. I've been reading the forums and posted about this same issue. I've had no response and nothing is helping.
