Xbox Controller slight lag

hi, i recently bought a new HDTV LCD. as soon as i brought it home and plugged in my xbox i noticed a slight lag on my controller to the screen. i looked on some forums online and it was recommended that i go and get a HDMI cable. so i did. i brought it home and plugged my xbox in using that. it got rid of the lag a little bit. the lag is still there, less than before, but still there. does any one know if theres anything else i can try to fix this? thanks.

What exact make and model of TV?

Enable the Game mode for whatever input your 360 is on. If you have one of those 120hz./240hz/480hz TVs, then the TV is most likely applying video post-processing to the image. This results in several frames of lag between picture input and display. You want all of that fancy schmancy stuff turned off. Game mode will do that.
