xbox black screen of death problem

I bought my xbox one around 4 hours ago at ffirst I plugged every cord in correctly and everything was running smoothly then I had to update my console and the update went to 100 percent and then it said your xbox will restart. The xbox turned off and never turned back on so I turned it on myself and I got the green screen for about 20 mins until I shut off my console and it happned several more times until the green screen never showed and it was only a black or blank scrreen. I called ms support they were no help and I was wondering if anyone had the same problem and if you fixed it or exchanged it for a new one

Ether,

See if you can power cycle your console. Turn the Xbox One on, if it remains at the black screen for a few minutes, hold the console power button for 8 seconds until it turns off, then wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on and see if this fixes the problem.
