I phrased the subject as best I could to describe the problem I'm having, but here it is.
I brought my Xbox360 to a friends house to play it for a while. And normally this is not a problem. Yesterday, however, it refused to play any of my games under any profiles but "guest" which wouldn't allow me to access most of my unlocked content or saves for the games we were trying to play. The big concern was Nickelodeon Dance. Every time I tried to play, it would give me an error message saying "could not connect to Xbox Live" And then it gave me the option to quit the game and access the connections, or continue as a guest.
The problem here, is that my friend HAS NO internet connection. So it was trying to find a connection that wasn't there. This has never been a problem for us before and I've had it over her house before with no issues. Can somebody explain why it was doing this and what can be done to solve the problem?
To clarify one thing. Normally at my own home I keep my console connected to the internet. I never use gold, but I do use the regular xbox live for addons for various games.
