Xbox 360 Slim Question

Hope this doent sound like a silly question but I really dont know the answer. Thats why Im going to ask this question. I want to buy a new machine but want to know, if I bought a 4gb model, is it possible to put a bigger hdd in it?? Or if I want a bigger hdd, do I need to purchase the 250gb version straight off?? Thanks guys, any help will be very much appreciated

There's a trap door in the 360 S that conceals the drive bay. The drive bay is empty on a 4GB console. You can add a HDD to it later.

So i can purchase a 250gb and install it into a 4gb model without any problems???

Thanks for the help guys, very much appreciated. Just need to go and buy now and get back on xbl. How do I transfer my data from my original elite to my new slim?

2 ways: one, get a transfer cable one end connects to the hard drive of the older elite and the other end plugs into the USB port on the slim (NOTE: make sure you get a REAL transfer cable sold in store that sell new 360 stuff like game stop or similar, using a 3rd party aka KNOCKOFF cable has been known to wipe the drive and turning it into a 16 gig flash drive which cannot be reversed).  two, use a USB flash drive of at least 1 gig or up to 16 and transfer the live profile and saves to save space and then redownload anything you bought or downloaded from the marketplace once you are signed into your current account on the new console, good luck.
