I've had my 360 S since about October and when some games are played of the disc, the disc drive makes a loud and unhealthy buzzing noise, which only seems to disappear if the game is installed onto the hard drive. I shouldn't have to do this though and even the older models don't sound this bad!
I have looked around online as others have had the same problem and some people say it's when the 360 is stored upright but mine is laid down so the issue isn't due to that, but even if it was I wouldn't want to risk keeping it in its current state in case it's more prone to breaking (let alone making gaming a somewhat less pleasurable experience).
Is it worth me getting it repaired by Microsoft? (it's still under warranty), or will they just send it back to me untouched? I don't know how common this problem is and whether I'll end up with the same problem again.
