Xbox 360 Repair Questions

I'm sending my Xbox Slim in for a repair, and I have a few questions.

I registered my Xbo Slim (the Star Wars edition) and when I go to Console Management, it shows that the console is registered. I try and phone up Xbox support, and I enter my license serial, and they say it's not registered. What?

Also, my Xbox is still under warranty, so it says it is free to send in. However, from the 3 options I can send my Xbox in through (get a prepaid label, send it to the nearest Xbox store, and the prepaid label on printer), one of them says I have to pay. My question is that I thought this was a free process? I live in Canada, so do I need to pay for shipping, and any other fees that come along? Shouldn't I just be able to slap a label on, and send in my Xbox inside of a box free of charge?

I tried taking this to the Chat system as well, except Silverlight won't install on my computer :(

Any help is appreciated.

Also, what is the shipping box? Is that just a regular box? And where do I send it in? Sorry for all the questions.

Hi, sorry to hear of your issue.  If you are having problems getting this sorted you should definitely call support at 1-800-469-9269 and explain it to them.

The repair should be free if you are under warranty and the Star Wars console is not that old.

As for the box, just get a box that the console will fit in and pack it well.  Be sure not to include the hard drive or cables.

Thanks for the reply! So the shipping/customs and stuff is all free and covered under the consoles warranty?

That is correct that the shipping fee is covered and you won't have to pay anything additional.
