Xbox 360: Profile Not Recognised.

I have been using my Xbox without issue since I bought it. I have a Xbox 360 Slim with the internal 250GB S Hard Drive.

Tonight it randomly no longer recognises my profile on my Xbox. It takes a longer than average time to load up the dashboard and then asks me to create a new profile.

I have a lot of stuff saved on my hard drive, ranging from saved games, apps and DLC. Any reason why this has happened and any fix to get my stuff back.

Thanks.

You may wish to copy your profile to a usb unit and remove the HDD and see if that changes things...

So I blew out all the dust and shook the Xbox around a bit, didn't work at first, but after the second time of doing this everything was back to normal. Not sure what the real problem was but it's working fine now. Just one of those things I guess.
