Xbox 360 pc wireless gaming receiver not detected by windows

Hi!

I purchased this wireless receiver in order to play on my computer with my Xbox 360 controler. Everything worked fine but without any reason, the receiver just wasn't detected anymore. I saw few people having the same issue, but at least windows detected their receivers as "unknown device". Mine seems to be powered (the LED are working), but there is no sign of life on the computer. I can plug it in any USB port, there won't be any reaction from windows. I'm helpless and bored trying to solve the problem on my own...

Thanks for reading!

Have you done all of this?

Have you also got the drivers installed.

I have heard they are meant to be plug-and-play but sometimes drivers have to be manually installed.

Well I've done that the first time I installed the device but now it just doesn't detect anything... It's so strange! The LEDS are working but windows is not reacting at all, not even the sound when you plug some usb...

Then it'll be your USB Port.

If other USB Devices work in your computer USB Ports, then I'm guessing It'll be the USB connected to the adapter.

Well I guess it's the only logical explanation (even if the fact that the LEDS are on is quite strange...). Thanks for the quick answers!

You should take it to a shop and tell them about it and see what they say.
