Xbox 360 not detecting wireless adapter

Hi, I've had an Xbox 360 for 2 years or so now, along with the original grey Networking adapter.  I've never had any problems with it until the last few months.  When I plug in the adapter, the light turns on red, as if it were connected to the xbox properly but not detecting a Wi-Fi signal, but when I go to my connection settings, it says that there is no Wireless adapter detected/plugged in.  If anyone else is having this problem, or has an answer/solution I would be very thankful if you replied to this topic :)

This sometimes happened to me a couple of years ago.

I used to just unplug it then plug it in again and the light would go green.

Maybe try plugging it into the USB ports at the front of the console, see if it works then.

Hey there Genn! I would also suggest trying this adapter on another console, and a known working adapter on your console just to see what happens. The results of this testing can help us narrow down the exact problem. Let us know, thanks!
