Xbox 360 is not detecting any wireless networks

Hello,

I have the original xbox 360 (white version) and I am using a linksys wireless gaming adapter. I have been using this for years and have never had a problem with it. Today I moved my xbox to a different location and hooked up the wireless adapter. It worked just as it normally does, but about a half hour into being connected, my xbox disconnected from xbox live. When i search for networks now, my xbox can't seem to find any, yet my laptop can find at least 5 when it is located right next to it. I have made sure my router is broadcasting the SSID, and have also tried resetting the router. I reset my 360s cache and that did not work either. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why all of the sudden my xbox would not be able to find any wireless networks? Thanks.

Welcome Mudd!

I'm curious about one thing. If you move your console back to its previous location, can it connect properly?

Is the broadcasting channel on your router set to automatic or a specific channel number?

Have you tried to restore your Xbox network settings to default?

Have you also power cycle your other network equipment (modem and router)? If not, do so.

Are you able to connect the Xbox to your wireless network if you search manually for your wireless network using the Advanced Option. Remember when you type your SSID name that it is case sensitive.

Still stuck? Try change the wireless channel manually to channel 1 on your wireless-G game adapter.

Post back and let us know how it goes.

I have tried restoring the xbox settings, I have power cycled all other equipment. I can not connect searching manually. I am not sure how to change the channel on my adapter so I will try that. I am currently connected to XBL through my laptop.
