Xbox 360 - HDMI & Dazzle Cap Card

Hi all,

I'm looking for some help or feedback regarding the above situation.

I don't want to spend a fortune but want to record footage of gaming that me and my team do across a multitude of games.

I want to have the best of both worlds as such - i want to view and play Xbox with HD graphics and gaming whilst i'm not as bothered about the quality of the recording. I don't want to stream, just record.

So my question is - How?

From the videos i've read it allegedly can be done with both the HDMI and Component/Composite cable attached, but i'm not going to break into anything, i've spent too much on it and video games to do this...

Has anyone done this, and if so how...

Many Thanks

PCotgrave

Thanks for the reply;

I'm wondering, if i use a HDMI splitter, hdmi to tv in one output, hdmi to composite cable to the other the latter linked into the dazzle - would this possibly give me the HD quality on TV of anything better than 480p?

Cheers

Like said above, the best HD is with Component on the dazzle. I record mostly CoD games, and it works like a charm. Very good quality.

Thanks mate.

What's the best way to set it up? I've seen a few setups online, what would you recommend.

Thanks very much for the info!

If you're looking to save some money, I use an EASYCAP, which is $10 on Amazon.  I use it to stream and record.  I am looking to get an HDPVR in the future, but my EasyCap is suffice for right now.
