Xbox 360 game upgrades

Hi all

Does anyone know if upgrading to next gen games from current versions with GAME, does it have to be the same platform, i.e 360 to X1 etc or can it be for example 360 to PS4, also do you have to have purchased the current version from GAME initially ? and do they give you a boxed next gen boxed game in exchange
