XBL won't accept card details

Hi Guys

It would appear my account has been blocked, possibly for non-payment.

The credit card on my account had expired, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card,etc.etc.etc...

I also spent an hour on the phone to XBL support yesterday, who say they have removed the block, but even they couldn't process a payment/add a card.

14 hours later and the account is still stuck.

I was asked to check with my Bank to see if fraud activation had kicked in... No it hadn't

Can't pay with PAYPAL either.

Tried paying with my other card

Tried paying with my girlfriends card (with her approval!)

Any thoughts?!?

adding three different card/payments via telephone support.

adding two different card/payments via https://billing.microsoft.com.

adding two different card/payments and PAYPAL via XBL on PC.

adding two different card/payments via XBL on Console.

Now resolved

My problem was the name on the account. The Xbox Account, not the bank account/card details (xboxlive...Account/BillingAccountInformation).

After changing this to my real name (rather than nickname), I was able to add a card - BUT still not able to process a payment.

I then added a PayPal account to my xbox account, and...

Back on Gold!
