X360 stopped detecting win7 pc

I am using my x360 as a media player. Was working fine until today. For some reason it does not detect my pc anymore. I already searched through the forums and googled a bunch of forums. But nothing I found offered a solution. Pc is clean of any viruses and the likes. Firewall on/off no difference All services are set correct. I even tried to remove the commection from both pc and Xbox. But nothing worked. Before I had a inactive media player listed, while the Xbox was on. But cannot get it to detect the media center. As far as I know nothing changed between yesterday and today. At least not to the pc, Xbox or router. Anybody ever experienced this problem? Don't want to reinstall windows just to have the Xbox show up again. Installation is only a few weeks old, which was reinstalled to fix the same problem.

Also make sure that the firewall that your computer is using can allow the Xbox. I had a problem with my console where it was not getting through my firewall. Once I let it through I could use media center.

Open up Windows Media Player and at the top left, you should see options like 'Organize', 'Stream' and 'Create Playlist'. Click on 'Stream' and make sure 'Allow Internet access to my home media...' is ticked.

Also, have a look under 'Stream' and then 'More streaming option...' and take a look at the Xbox 360 options under devices.

yeah i would say make sure you have the player open on your computer and try searching for it on your

Xbox, if that dose not work just delete you computer from the Xbox and the Xbox from the computer, and re-sync them.
