X Update Failed

"A system update is required to dign in to Xbox LIVE, but the update is currently unavailable. If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support."

This is what is showing whenever we turn on our Xbox. We tried everything but so far nothing is working. It's very frustrating because you can't connect to Xbox LIVE. Can anybody help with this issue?

Have you tried Troubleshoot console software update problems and try the 5 Solutions and if it starts giving you an error code, try searching for it here and follow those steps on fixing the issue

Could you post up the model number of your 2 wire (eg 3800HGV-B).

This is the latest Xbox software version. Did you update using a USB memory device?

Yes, I updated it using a USB memory device.

Could you tell me if you connect your console using wireless or a wired connection type.

I connect my console using wireless.

I tried that earlier using an ethernet cable - connecting it to my internet extender but still the same result..

Have you tried to power off your 2 wire gateway for couple of minutes? If the problem still persists let's try roll back the update and reinstall it as follows:

Turn off your console. Press and hold the sync button (the small one you use to connect your wireless controllers). While holding press the power button to turn your console on. Continue to hold the sync button until the console is booted up.

Go to System Settings and choose storage.

On your controller, press the following button sequence:

    Press the left bumper.
    Press the right bumper.
    Press the X button.
    Press the left bumper.
    Press the right bumper.
    Press the X button.


Try update as normal (using your Internet connection).

Post back and let us know how it goes.
