World's coolest granny plays video games to keep her mind active

An interesting counterpoint to the whole violence in games thing going on atm.

And she's no casual gamer either! She's like level 70 in the item world on Disgaea 4.

Absolutely brilliant, good on her.

And I love the bit in the video where she's driving the car and says .. "Another one gone for a burton" ... brilliant! lol.

Let's hope there's no journalists following her around incase she gets the sudden urge to go out and commit acts of violence ;)

I've played games against my Nan..... Gran Turismo and Mortal Kombat...... shes 93 now bless her :)

Awesome.

And I bet you get "owned" aswell ;) ..

I can't wait to show this video to my son and his mates, they all around their late teens/early 20s and I always get the comments like "Too old to be gaming grandad" .. lippy so and so's, at least I can say I'll be around for quite a while yet showing them a thing or two :)

lol wish my nan was as cool as her, and the fact she also plays with her ant whos 90 odd lol fair play to the old fuddy duddys who wanna play games

I was reading last week about some Chinese grandad in his 90's who has maxed out six (I think from memory) World of Warcraft characters to the top level,  apparently that takes some doing.  Gotta love it, hope im doing the same when Im that age, which in fairness wont be that long now.

Thank god I'm not the oldest around here then ;-p

But it is great to see this lady of this age playing and by the looks of it enjoying games! Alot of our friends/family that are not into gaming at all seem to think that anyone who plays these consoles/computers are in their early teens, they just don't realise it appeals to all ages.

I hit the the 50 mark in June!

I'm just over 7 years off that mark myself.

It just shows you though and I'm not being rude in anyway but I only know you from talking to you on the forums, same as alot of people on here but if someone would have asked me how old I thought you was, I would have probably said mid 30s, just shows you how you sort of build up a picture of some only to be totally off the mark lol. I'll say again though, I wasn't being rude as your only as old as you feel ;)

Like I said though, it is funny how some people think of gamers, I know alot of our friends and family look at me and think ... "He's still playing games at his age?"  they just don't realise it's not like sitting there playing with Action Man ( I stopped that last year ;) ) ...

I always say though, as long as you enjoy something, don't matter what age you are.
