Wireless Controllers Not Connecting

Just purchased and set up a NEW Xbox 360 console. All appears to be functioning properly [xbox live account, updates, downloads, etc...] except, only 1 of the 4 wireless controllers I purchased are able to connect. I have followed all the instructions to connect wireless controllers [replaced batteries, etc...] but, I am unable to establish a connection for 3 of the 4 controllers. Is there something I'm overlooking? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I find it hard to believe that I have acquired three controllers that are malfunctioning. Thanks for your time.

Hi there,

try turning the console off and disconnecting it from the power supply for at least 30 seconds. After that connect it again and start up the console and try synchronizing the controllers via the synch buttons on console and controller again
