Wireless Adapter Problem.

I have a white single antenna wireless adapter plugged into my Xbox 360 console. Even though the red light is on, and the adapter is fully plugged in, the Xbox says there is no adapter plugged in, therefore I cannot even run a test, or connect to Xbox live. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hey there MC! I understand you are having some issues with your wireless adapter. Normally the red light indicates that the adapter is no longer functioning properly. To test this out, try using your adapter on another console, or using another adapter on your console. If another adapter works fine on your console, or your adapter still fails to work on another console, we can assume it is the adapter and you should seek a replacement.

Please let me know what you find out and we'll go from there. Thanks!

Try plugging it in to the front of the console, that worked for me.

Thank you! I tested my adapter on another console, and it didn't work on that. I will get rid of it, and get a replacement. Only problem is now, almost my entire screen is blue due to the plug-ins to the T.V malfunctioning, and I do not know how to fix that either. This problem only occurs when I am on Xbox imput, so I know it isn't my T.V.

Coincidentally, the testing for this is similar to what you did for the network adapter. Try using this cable with another console if you have one, and try using a different cable with your console. Also, even though it sounds like it's not your TV, testing your console with the same cables on a different TV can help confirm that. Let me know what you come up with, thanks!

I did test this on another T.V and it did have the same problem. Do you happen to know a price for a new set of AV cables?

Sorry to hear that MC. The only one I can find for sale on our site is the HD AV Component cable. You can use this with the standard composite ports (red, white, and yellow) and is $39.99. You can find the plain Composite cable at other retailers though, but if you have or plan to have a component-ready TV, I'd recommend the little extra to get these ones. I hope this helps, thanks!
