Windows 8 doesn't connect to Xbox live correctly - won't update gamerpic

Name change took ok.

When you change your gamerpic on the Xbox 360, then go to your windows 8 PC, click on Games, it signs you into Xbox, shows your avatar, moto, bio, location, new hat, etc, but will not update your gamerpic.

Log in/out Windows 8.

Turn on/off PC.

/search c: for xbox Live and /delete folder

There is no option to log in and out of the application Games for your avatar.

It says:

- xbox games

scroll to the left...

(from top left to right)

clear thick vertical empty navigation bar with updated avatar clothes

Large white vertical navigation bar with

Old gamer pic that will not update

name of player next to gamer pic that will not update

GamerTag, that DID update

Gamer points

next line has options:

- Customize Avatar

- Edit profile

- view achievements

- share profile

- view game alerts

lists motto

lists location

lists bio

in the next column a circle @ the bottom with 1 new mail.

Upper right it says Signed in but is unclickable and has an icon of some white profile.

scroll right, friends

scroll right, spotlight

scroll right, game activity

scroll right windows games store

scroll right xbox 360 games store

There is no 'log out'

There is no 'update'

There is no 'clear cache'

There is no way to click on the gamer pic

There is no way to update or change the gamer pic

Seems pretty bleak, like something is missing.  Is there a technical bug feature thing that's preventing it?  Like...maybe the image was bought on the xbox, so it's like against some law to display a bought image or copyright material on another device????  You know that can't be it because even when I go to the start menu, if I have the green games metro button large, it shows my updated gamer picture and a picture of a controller.  But once I open the thing, the gamer pic is the old one from a year ago.  Very very very odd.

You know xbox has a gamer picture and a personal picture.  I'm thinking Windows 8 doesn't know this.

DarkOvcharka, I was thinking the same thing here.  There are two slots to place pictures.  Externals only see the one, and not personal.

I've run into similar issues with avatar items, like my Borderlands 2 Handsome Jack mask.  It won't show up on my Windows Phone, but fine on Windows 8 and Xbox.

Hey!  I just found another place it doesn't work.  On a Microsoft site.

www.xbox.com - it shows my current avatar pic

If I go to the xbox.com rewards website it shows my OLD image.  Curious.

This is not a connections problem, but an Accounts problem, and the folks over at Forum 03 are likely to provide a solution first: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/12.aspx
