WILD already in use?

Hi All

I've got myself in a real mess. My sons Gold account expired and wasn't renewed. I have now decided to renew it, which I did on the Xbox Live web page. I started a new account and was given a new name SiderealSaucer9. On the Xbox when I try to transfer the WILD to the old gamertag it says that the WILD is already associated with another Xbox live account. If I try to add a new profile on the Xbox it tells me the gamertag is already in use. Help please.

Hey there! Sorry for the confusion here, I'll do my best to help you out.

If I understand you correctly, you want the LIVE subscription on your son's old account. There is no way for you to transfer this yourself. You can try calling phone support and they might be able to help, but generally speaking, subscriptions are not transferable. When purchasing LIVE time in the future, please make sure you are signed in to the correct profile before completing the purchase.

I wasn't too bothered about the old account. If I can create a new profile on the Xbox using the new WILD I will be happy. Is this possible?

You can do that or you can do use the old email address for the new gamertag but you will need to change the email address on the old gamertag, which will make the email address free to use on a new account.
