I have been able to verify that the controller should be working with Destiny. Before I suggest a repair/replacement can you verify if you have any third-party devices connected to your console? If you do, try unplugging them and just having the controller
connected. This is a known issue outlined on
Are you possibly able to reach out to the retailer for a quick exchange? I know the controllers are a bit hard to come by, but this will be the quickest solution outside of sending your controller in for Replacement.
