I have the same problem. I've tried removing the HD and just use the MU [memory unit]. But after a few min. it crashes again. Even though it seems like a 'component' problem my xbox unit is not running 'HOT!'. It's been this way since my last xbox update. Again 'to big to fail' is worried about thhe few who use thier product the wrong way. We're not 'clients' of microsoft, we're the 99% who are 'users'. microsoft is going to lose out to sony. I would like a real answer to this problem, but I doubt I will get one unless its the usual 'operator error'. geez.. lol

So here is what I did. I removed my GamerTag from the HD [Moved it to the MU]. Then removed the MU and started up the xbox. Microsoft updated my HD. I downloadedmy GamerTag from xbox to my HD [from xbxox not the MU] . It seems to have corrected the problem... maybe. Well I'm back in Skyrim. Also blow the dust out of your unit. Good luck.
