Why does my profile keep corrupting?

This is getting pretty annoying. It is a two week old 4GB 360 S with the official 250gb hard drive that I bought separately.

5 times now in the past two weeks my profile has randomly corrupted. I'm not doing anything to trigger it either. I was just sitting idly on Halo: Reach talking to my friends on party chat. I pressed the xbox guide button and notice my gamer picture wasn't appearing. My achievements also show a total of 0 gamerscore (which is false). Those are indications that my profile has corrupted. I deleted my profile and recovered it and all is fine. However it is very apparent that this is a re-occurring problem. My xbox is only 2 weeks old so I'm shocked that this is happening. Is there any fix for this?

I was on vacation from the 18-22th, so I haven't played in that period. However, today it corrupted again. Cleared cache, recovered profile and now we'll see.

Everything was fine until today when it decided to corrupt again. :( Whenever I wanted to check my achievements, my profile would instantly corrupt. Recovered it, performed maintenance on hard drive and good to go. Decide to check achievements again and it corrupts again.

Could it be a faulty hard drive?

My problem started about 5-6 days ago. I put in F.E.A.R. 3 and I played the first lvl, and went to look at the achievements, and F.E.A.R. 3 wasn't even in my played games list. I asked a Xbox friend if anything like that happened to him, and he said no, and thought it was weird that I was play L.A. Noire, but it said the last game played was Black-Ops. First, I said thanks for letting me know 4 days ago when he noticed... lol

Oh-bye the way nothing seemed wrong other than not unlocking achievements, and not updating, or adding games played.

So I recovered my profile with out deleting the old one,(witch took an hour+) and my game list started updating, everything seemed to work like normal except for it taking some very time consuming achievements away from L.A. Noire. Well I started play L.A. Noire again, and notice an achievement didn't unlock. So I put in a few different games and again it was not updating my games again. So this time, I deleted my profile, and recovered it again(now it took 6+ hours). Again everything seemed to be back to normal. Started playing Transformers 3 for about a day, turned it off and when I started it up the next day and It kept popping up telling me that it can not save( please check if you hdd is full).

Well now it is doing what BK Jonny Boy's was doing. When I look at anything on my hdd, (Games, videos, etc.) underneath the size of the file it says corrupt profile. The messed up thing is I sign out and back in everything is fine. After playing a short time it does it again. So now I'm on my third recovery(5+ hours this time).. I hope some one a Microsoft gets to the bottom of this soon.

Try this: turn off your console, remove your current storage device, attach a different device (HDD or USB), restart console, recover profile. If you use it for a while, do you notice any corrupting going on?
