Why do I keep getting disconnected from Xbox Live Party?!?

Every single day I play! My connection is really good, but when I'm in parties it goes very silent and it says everyone gets disconnected but it's really me! then sometimes it would say everyone left and it would leave in just my own party! Why does this keep happening?!

NAT is open, and when I go to try Xbox live connection, everything goes perfect.... what the hell is wrong?

Thanks!

Appreciate if you could post up the model number of your Cisco device as well.

Could you tell me if you have any of these features currently enabled on your router: Port Forwarding, Port Triggering or DMZ.

Make sure your router is up-to-date with the latest version of firmware.

Thanks!

Ok! So the Thomson TCW 770 is the only gateway you have connected to the Internet?

Since that is not recommended that you have UPnP, Port Forwarding and DMZ enabled at the same time, I would suggest that you turn off UPnP, DMZ and leave Port Forwarding turned on. Save/Apply these changes and reboot your gateway. Could you tell me how you've configured Port Forwarding?

From the looks of it, it seems that your ISP is the one doing any necessary update regarding the firmware on your Thomson gateway.

Remove all the private IP addresses from Remote Host Address fields that you have entered. Add the network ports used by Xbox LIVE to Internal Start Port / End Port as well. You have to many entries. You should only have four entries.

Entry #1: 192.168.0.18 Start Port: 88 End Port: 88 Protocol: UDP
Entry #2: 192.168.0.18 Start Port: 3074 End Port: 3074 Protocol: BOTH
Entry #3: 192.168.0.18 Start Port: 53 End Port:53 Protocol: BOTH
Entry #4: 192.168.0.18 Start Port: 80 End Port: 80 Protocol: TCP

Click Apply!

Disable DMZ and UPnP. Reboot your gateway.

Keep us posted!

A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing connection problems, and the order and timing of the steps is important to success:

1) turn off the Xbox then

2) unplug power from the router (Some folks have a combination modem-router AKA 'gateway' or only use a modem with no router. If either, skip steps 3 & 6).

3) unplug power from the modem.

4) Wait at least 5 minutes then replug the modem/gateway power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem/gateway which says ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router. If you have a gateway instead of a modem and router or a modem with no router, then when that light says it's ready, skip to step 7.

6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

7) Turn on the Xbox.  For more background on Ports, see whatismyipaddress.com/port

If the problem persists, please send us the info we need from http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/9/t/155724.aspx so we may work on this further.
