I couldnt actually write in the body of the topic. Anyway, I’ve had a day in hell because i’ve been booted out of my Xbox Live account by Mircosoft. I created my XBL profile years ago when I was a teenager and used an email account to say i was an associate under my parents. Huge mistake. I created this stupid @blubbermail.net account so that my dad can log in as a parent. I have no idea what the password is. Now on xbox.com i sign in with my email address (that has full control over the account, including closing it, changing payment methods) but it is not a parent account!!! What the hell?! So i click i agree on the Terms of Use and then instantly get signed out….

Hey Chowder Power0,

I suggest that you contact Xbox Phone Support about the parental account issues. They will be able to get everything sorted for you.

You can find Xbox Phone Support at the 'Contact Us' page Here.

NOTE: Xbox LIVE is having some issues with the Terms and Conditions at this moment, please visit This Page for the latest Service Status.

Hey Mister Brosky.

Thank you for the lightning quick reply. Customer support were a bit apprehensive. They shoved me with an email and told me to follow to due processes of recovering an email address and using the Account Recovery Request form, which i did, and was told there was insufficient information. Well i made this silly @blubbermail account and it has no "subject headers", i cant gain access to it.

So they said "Even if you initially receive a negative reply, we can still help by escalating your case to our Technical Team and working with the Microsoft Account Support. Please reply to this email with the following information:" etc..

"After sending your e-mail, please allow 48 hours for a response. We will email you to say that we received your email and have escalated the case.

Please keep in mind that if we do not receive a reply within 5 days, your case will be closed." - So they will close the case?!

(I can copy and paste the full email they sent me, if the quoting is leaving you confused).

I have the same problem. I can't get on XBL because I can't accept the terms because of the parent count created +4 years ago. I'm 20 now and don't need to be a child account. I have no way of accessing the parent email and the "forgot password" option won't work for me. I've tried promoting my child account online but the account link seams to have an error. Until I can promote my account I can't use xbox live and I just bought a new 3 month subscription and have already lost over a day.
