White Xbox One Release-Rumor

Microsoft is preparing to release its first major Xbox One dashboard update in March. Sources familiar with the plans have revealed to The Verge that the update will focus on fixing a number of issues with the Xbox Live service on the console, alongside other system fixes. Party-chat problems and issues with the usability and placement of social features of Xbox Live will be improved with the update. The update timing was first revealed by a forum poster at NeoGAF, and The Verge has verified it separately.

XBOX ONE WITHOUT A DISC DRIVE RUMORED

The anonymous forum poster also claims Microsoft will release a white version of its Xbox One console in October alongside the launch of Sunset Overdrive. A 1TB version of the Xbox One is rumored for release a month later in November. The Verge can confirm Microsoft is indeed planning to release its white employee-only Xbox One this year. Other rumors shared by the anonymous forum poster include the possibility of an Xbox One without a Blu-ray drive, a Bluetooth adapter, and launch dates for the console worldwide. While it's unclear if a disc-less Xbox One will make it to market,

The Verge can also confirm Microsoft has been testing versions of its console without a Blu-ray drive. Microsoft is said to be releasing Xbox One in April in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. An October launch of Xbox One is also rumored to follow in China, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Israel, India, Indonesia, and Egypt. We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment on all the Xbox One rumors, and we’ll update you accordingly.

No drive equals having to buy it later or BLU RAY DL movies. Hmmmm? I want a disc driveless ONE but I gotta have all the preorder bonuses.

.

In white I would buy just for flashyness, but will the white be also be in1tb? It would be great and also means much more content is on the way of epic proportions. All this is awesome but why a month apart.

.

1tb I am telling you means full 1080p bluray movie dl baby! I hope.

making it without a drive makes no sense. unless they're trying to get down in price without sacrificing Kinect so the drive is the next option to go.

If it's White 1TB of memory, I'll definitely be into grabbing one. If it's White 1TB and discless, I wouldn't be into it UNLESS going all digital would be the cheaper route to take but we have yet to see if and when that would happen. Can't wait for the update though!!

Sign me up for the white version :) a Seriously looking forward to the dashboard update tho, was hoping it gets released by the time a Titanfall is out.

If this info was concrete I'd hold out longer. Then again a bigger internal HDD doesn't mean much when they'll support external.

Diskless romors have been spwied out in site since latter part of 360 life. So I don,t see this happen until XB2.

There's a disc drive on the X1 already?! What's it used for? I would pick up a white1Tb driveless X1 in a heartbeat, so I could retire my Day One console.

Wouldn't mind a white console but all my other stuff is black and I'm not going to shell out another £400+ to change colour, I'll spend that cash on a PS4 and enjoy the best of both worlds.

As for the HDD, I always said it should be 1TB from the beginning but hey, I've got the console now. Hopefully they offer some kind of way to expand our memory in future, whether this be through an official drive only or and update allowing our own storage. I've got a 2TB drive right here waiting for that day.

Discless; personally I wouldn't touch with a bargepole as I only ever buy hard copies, it gives me the sense of ownership and the ability to do whatever I want with the thing I bought, whether it be lend it to a friend, sell it or go to the toilet on it. I can see the benefits for people who are pro-digital and want the console cheaper but they'll probably lose their price reduction within a year thanks to missing out on Christmas sales at stores and having to buy from MS for premium price.

Only interested in the extra space to be honest and I would probably swap my day one for it as well.

I'd be very curious how much space is left on my X1 now actually.

The larger hard drive should have been in it when it launched. Proves once again that Day One adopters have been screwed over.
