Where is the IR Receiver?

I have a XBOX One and a Harmony Remote. The remote detection is flaky at best. I also have an IR distributor, which has a bunch of IR blasters and repeats the IR signals from remotes.

If I want to control the XBOX One with an IR blaster - where is the IR receiver on the unit? On the XBOX 360 it was fairly visually obvious.

Is the IR Receiver on the Kinect?

Not sure where exactly but it is on the main unit, not the Kinect.  I have the same issue with my Logitech remotes not working well so I had to move my xbox so it has a clear view from the seating area.

I have been searching for an answer to this since I opened my Day One edition. It is getting annoying to open the doors to my cabinet to use it.

It's about 1cm to the right of the eject button. Even with my IR repeater, I'm still getting spotty detection though, hope you have better luck.

The best available option is using an IR repeater if your signal may be spotty, also any large electronic device emitting an electromagnetic signal (i.e. cordless phone, large speakers) can interfere with the signal

I am an owner of a A/V Custom company.  IR receiver is just a hair off of the eject button to the right.  It works, but they are new codes.  Not the 360 code or original xbox codes.  The old codes are toggle codes and won't work.  I found that I was over flashing the receiver.  Turn down the IR power if you can, that helped me.  It is also a ridiculously small spot and no room for error.
