When I try and buy DLC I get "there's a problem with your account" and a little more after.

This problem has been happening for a while now, but before the new dash update I could just add MSP through xbox.com, and that worked fine, and now the only way to pay is through a card or paypal.  Now I get a message that says

"There's a problem with your account. To fix the problem, go to, https://account.live.com.

so I go on to the site and it does not tell me what needs fixing, or anything is wrong, I am currently waiting for a xbox staff to help me on the case but got like 20 minutes to wait so jsut seeing if anyone has a way to fix it fast.

 Are you receiving the same error when you attempt to purchase the DLC through your console and the website? Have you logged into your Microsoft account. Once in click Edit security info and verify your security information (Phone numberAlternate email address, and Security question information). If it's not correct, make the necessary changes, then sign out of your Microsoft account and then sign in again. Afterward try to sign in to Xbox Live again.

 


If that doesn't work try safely deleting your profile, clearing your system cache, and re-downloading your profile? Follow these steps:

 

Sign out of your Gamer Tag Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller and Press the Blue X to Sign Out

 

Delete Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller

2) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings
3) Select Storage
4) Select the device with your profile
5) Select Profiles
6) Select your  Gamer Tag
7) Select Delete
8) Select Delete Profile Only
 
Clear System Cache:
1) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings
2) Select Hard Drive
3) Highlight Hard Drive, and press Y (Device Options)
4) Select Clear System Cache and select Yes

5) Repeat steps 2 thru 4 two more times so that your Cache is cleared 3 times


Turn off your console and start it back up.

Download Profile
1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox 360 controller
2) On the Home tab, select Download Profile

first of all would like to thank you for the help, I made sure everything was perfect on my Microsoft account, and the same thing came up, and when i try to add msp on xbox.com (the only way I could add before) I get "This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later."  Also the second method didn't work either, just don't know what to do as MSP will probably be non existent soon, and I would like to get DLC,

Actually MSP should be discontinued for you already.  If you go to https://commerce.microsoft.com you will notice the upper right no longer states "You have XXXX points" but instead "You have $X.XX USD" (or your local currency).  There were some issues on the website since the currency transition so if you haven't tried making the purchase with your credit/debit card and/or currency balance.  Let us know if you receive a solution from the Support Chat folks that works.

they said there is some kind of system update and will be sorted in about an hour or 2, they kinda gave the same advice you did, thanks again, and hope its fixed soon.
