What to do with Gamertag and xbox live if Microsoft can't validate my ID?

As above, have been through the validation process several times and now the've suggest i just create a new Live ID.

 

So what are my options with my Gamertag and saved games, live membership etc?

I can't figure out what you are asking. If you can't get an account back then its gone unless you can prove you own the account. If you can be a little bit more specific then we would love to help you =)

Basically i'm still signed in to xbl but couldnt remember my windows live password or security question so have been locked out. (am signed in to this forum on a temp account at the minute)

 

Have been through the password rest system but they fail to recognise me as the account holder (please see here for more info on this forums.xbox.com/.../54491.aspx <<< mods please dont delete, am not spamming, its just a lot of info to write down again and this thread is for another purpose

 

I've given all possible info but they say its not enough, so what happens to my xbl account? As my windows live account will probably be deleted for inactivity (as i'm unable to use it anywhere)

 

I dont want to loose 5yrs worth of gaming, map packs, my ms points, my live membership and my gamertag etc?

This is what i've given them so far, which is apparently not enough...

 

Name

Address

Home phone number

A password that has been used on the account

Date of birth

email address (assigned to the account)

email address (current)

Current IP address

ISP (when i created the account)

ISP (current)

Subject, time and date of an email i recieved on the account (in 2010)

MS Points pre paid card number

Gold Membership pre paid card number

Gamertag (previous)

Gamertag (current)

Last 4 digits of the only credit card i've ever had on the account (a long time ago)

Credit card holders name

Expiry date of above credit card (2010)

 

What i cant give them is the names of any folders i've created (as i havent created any) and the subject of any emails i've recieved lately (because i dont use it for email)

 

They've told me i just as well create a new Live ID as they cant verify my ID well enough to allow them to reset my password, which leads me to the question about what happens to all my xbox stuff.

 

Have tried calling xbox help but they dont have access to account passwords and there is no contact number for Windows Live.

If they can't validate it, then you've lost everything as  you cannot transfer anything from one account to another.

If I loose everything then this system has major flaws. This is the sort of thing that will force me back to PC gaming. I'm paying real money for this account and I can't even use it.

There's not even a phone number to call to get myself verified on my own account, this is the most useless system I've ever seen.

Xbox is linked to Live ID, Xbox customer service have no control over Live ID and Live customer service don't care that my ID is linked to my Xbox. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

I understand that you are upset, but there is nothing anyone here on the forums is going to be able to do for you. If phone support has done what they can, and they can still not reveal the account information to you, then that is your answer. I'm sorry for the frustration.
