Weird issue

I test my Xbox One's internet connection, and sometimes it says "Can't connect to internet", but sometime's it says it's all good. When it says it's all good, I go to add an account onto my xbox, and put in my email. After putting in the email, it says there is an issue connecting, and to try again later. What do I do?

It seems you have issues with your internet connection being unstable.

Are you on a wired or wireless internet connection? If you're on WiFi, try using an ethernet cable instead. Are you having any connectivity issues with any other devices, such as a tablet, computer, phone? Tried a restart of your modem and router?

From what you're describing, it could be the case that there's just enough time for your connection to fail from the time you run the connection test to the time it takes to enter your user name. In other words, it's hard to tell if it's a hardware issue with your console.

Is your error message (0x80a40011) by chance?

I fixed the issue by unplugging my modem for a few minutes.
